Ioannis Sotiropoulos

Dr Ioannis Sotiropoulos is a Group leader at ICVS Institute, School of Medicine, University of Minho. His research work focuses on understanding the orchestrating role of lifetime stress on the onset of Alzheimer´s disease (AD) with specific focus on the relationship between AD and depression, a stress-related disorder. Dr Sotiropoulos has molecular, electrophysiological, signaling and behavioral expertise on Tau protein and its involvement of pathological brain aging.
