Hugo Fernandes

Hugo Fernandes is Invited Principal Investigator at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra (Portugal) and member of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapies. His research is focused on the use of stem cells and their derivatives for Regenerative Medicine application, in particular in the field of Cardiovascular Diseases. His lab is using extracellular vesicles (EV) for therapeutic applications using several strategies for the modulation of EV cargo and/or surface.
