Daniela Freitas

Daniela Freitas (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7606-1120 ) is a Junior Researcher at i3S. She has been studying tumor-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) glycosylation. She described the best EV isolation strategy for proper EV glycosylation analysis and reported the presence of cancer-associated glycan biomarkers in EVs. She also contributed for the pioneer identification of exomeres. Her current interests are in the role of EV glycosylation in
intercellular communication and cancer progression.​
